I recently had a new client for a live media tour day that insisted on the two talent being hardwired which was going to force me to buy (2) Sanken Power supplies which are pricey and do not work with all brands of lav microphones. After doing some research I found the Ambient Eumel which will accept any Ta5 wired microphone and power it using a switching circuit built in the plug. Allowing to power anything and at a price under $125.00 a very good tool to have in your kit.

To better serve the expanding needs of our clients we have added a 3rd zaxcom system to our equipment inventory. This now allows us to feed 3 camera wireless and with the newest generation of Zaxcom Transmitter you can now record a back up via SD card as always we are committed to proving the highest quality equipment for each of our clients projects.

To better serve my Clients Pro Location Sound LLC has added the Remote Audio Speak Easy Speaker to its extensive equipment inventory this small self powered speaker provides all the needed professional inputs needed to allow clients to easily hear IFB feeds or playback. This speakers is under 5lbs and will run 10 hours on 1 9volt battery. Making it a great addition to my kit.

As many of you know I am a big supporter of Sound devices I own (2) 302 3 channel mixers, (1) 2 channel mix-pre. (1) 442 4 Channel mixer, (1) 744t 4 Channel Hard Disk recorder and (1) 702t CF based recorder. I own at least one of most there products except the 788t 8 channel recorder. I believe everyone should have a Sound Devices 702t 2 Channel Hard Disk recorder in there kit. Even though most of my jobs are direct to camera or require iso recording which i use my 744t for. The 702t still has its place. I bought mine used for $2000.00 including a power supply and batteries retail for the unit is $2500.00. So it is affordable, very small and light weight. It has the ability to record many different file types, bit and sample rates. It records to CF (Compact Flash) and will work in any conditions. Due to its size it always travels with me on every job just in case and it gets used often. So pick one up it is a great value.

I am very excited about this new transmitter by Lectrosonics and has the one feature that is very exciting the ability to adjust RF Power output from 50, 100 or 250mw. Allowing me more output power when needed but allowing me to turn the output power down to converse battery power when needed. This is very useful for me because I do so many different types of jobs it will allow me to get the best possible audio while also choosing the most power friendly mode. In the near future I will be buying a few of these for sure.
